This children’s exhibition, curated by Reem Al Hashmi, presented a collection of sleep songs from various regions around the world including the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. We had to create various activations to tell the stories of these songs through various methods and mediums. Each zone was unique in a way that we had to use different ways to entertain the visitors.
The illustrations were designed for different uses, interacting with visitors in different ways. For example, the Pakistan environment depicts a jungle with plants printed on thick cardboard, while the animals are projected onto a led wall.
The plants serve as a separate element printed on cardboard. The background animals are decorated with l lights that glow in different colours and interact with their surroundings. The animals are projected with projectors that animate.
